Call for entries!

Fantastic British Food Festivals celebrate independent food and drink producers in stunning locations including Blenheim Palace and Leeds Castle, with an expected 90,000 visitors across nine venues in 2016. This year they are launching a search for the nation's most exciting new food stars – producers, creators, chefs, authors and foodie business owners – to champion. The judges will be looking for quality, innovation, flavour and style.

Three shortlisted Food Stars will win the chance to showcase their wares with a free pitch at the inaugural Sandown Park Food Festival (17-18 Sept), a social media audit from Sassy Social Marketing and inclusion in associated national and regional publicity as well as Fantastic British Food Festivals marketing, digital and promotional activity (prize value £1000).

The overall winner will be announced at the festival with a press photocall. In addition to the prize for shortlisting, they will receive an incredible Marketing and Publicity package worth £2000 which will include a promotional toolkit, social media workshop from Sassy Social Marketing and design support from the Creative Director and Lead Designer at WATB, as well as working with Sarah Harrison PR to announce their win and promote their business to the media. They will also be invited to exhibit for free at one of Fantastic British Food Festival's 2017 events.

This is an amazing opportunity to reach an engaged, foodie public – with 15,000+ visitors expected at Sandown – as well as raising your profile in national, specialist and regional media. The judges are looking for exciting, passionate rising stars so whether your speciality is artisan bakes, delicious cuisine, craft cider, foraging tours, unique condiments, stunning handmade cookware or inspiring cookery classes, you could be a Fantastic Food Star and take your venture to the next level.

Closing date for entries: 1st June 2016 / Shortlist announcement: 1st August 2016
